A great profession and why I love being a Mobile Notary!
I'm often asked if I enjoy being a mobile Notary Public. Going to peoples homes to sign loan docs, visiting nursing homes, coffee shops and parks to get important documents signed for those that either can't travel or prefer not to travel. Some days, my answers are pretty straightforward, "oh yes, I love my job!" and other days, like today, I'm a bit more reflective.. Having the honor of being a Notary Public requires compassion and understanding. It requires patience and empathy. It also requires quick and analytical thinking and having the ability to change and adapt easily to ones situation. Now, I know that this sounds like I am writing a resume' but, truly these are just SOME of the important characteristics of a Notary Public, especially one who travels. Oh, and also hold yourself to the highest degree of professionalism and integrity! Not to mention being discreet! Sure, sure, I possess these qualities, but why do I enjoy being a mobile notary public? Well, for starters, I am not tied down to a 9-5. I get to travel to some cool and interesting places. I meet the most amazing people from all walks of life, who have a story to tell and most of the time, they do really enjoy my visit and company. And I think most of all, I feel that I really am serving my fellow man. Once I step into the role of my job, I am transformed into "what can I do for you" and that I feel is my real purpose...
